Mentoring Platform

This project was my first real client engagement - building a complete mentoring platform from the ground up. The client needed a professional, fast, and easy-to-maintain website that would help connect mentors with mentees.

The main challenges were creating an intuitive booking flow, ensuring the site performed well on all devices, and integrating with the client's existing scheduling system. Additionally, the design needed to convey trust and professionalism while remaining approachable.

I built a responsive Next.js application with TypeScript for type safety. The UI was crafted using Tailwind CSS with a focus on clean, minimalist design. The booking system was integrated via API, and I implemented smooth animations to enhance the user experience without sacrificing performance.

The design philosophy centered on clarity and trust. I used a calm color palette with strategic accent colors for CTAs. Typography was chosen for readability across devices. The booking flow was simplified to just 3 steps, reducing friction and increasing conversion rates.

This project taught me the importance of client communication, iterative design, and performance optimization from day one. I learned that clean code structure pays dividends in maintenance, and that testing on real devices is essential for catching edge cases.
